Michael Jackson flashmob in Stockholm (video)
I just think that they do not get the concept of celebrity.
Love to Stockholm and dance group Bounce for making this flash mob happen!

Earthquake f'kin woke me up at f'king 630am GRRR
I woke up thinking that the house was coming down. Dammit. If it was strong enough to wake ME up, it was strong, I had a guesstimate at 3.2 but I was wrong. (As you can tell I'm obviously shaken, I'm talking like I'm rapping. It f'kin rhymes.)
I have "experienced" 2 other earthquakes when I was in Asia in the last 8 years I think, but I slept through them hehehe. They were just tremors, like 2 on the Richter scale. But the one this morning scared me, it was major. I seriously thought the house was coming down, my bed was shaking and I heard my house cracking. Because neither me nor my husband had experienced an earthquake before, we were confused, my husband said "What the f--k" and I couldn't believe myself saying "Earthquake, it's an earthquake."
We have just discovered that we live just 10 km away from the epicenter which is in Blentarp so even though we felt only 20 seconds of it, we probably got the worst tremors. I have to check the house for (maybe minor) damages. Nothing inside my house looks obviously shaken though, maybe the Christmas tree got a bit tilted :-p.
Slight tremors during this earthquake could even be felt in some parts of Stockholm. No infrastructure damage has been reported so far.
In 1904 there was a recorded richter scale of 6 in Gothenburg where some chimneys fell off houses and stone walls crumbled.
Oooookay, that's all for now and I'm going back to my hybernation mode. I'll write again only if there's another earthquake LOL. Kidding.

(One of the many Wallander movie posters. Krister Henriksson is Kurt Wallander.)Things to note if you're going: You are requested to dress up like you would in November, they are shooting a scene which is supposed to take place in November, do you get me? Let's not make another boo-boo like our Swedish one-hit wonder Emilia of the song "Big Big World" fame. In the Big Big World MTV, they tried to make it look all grey and cold and wintery but people behind her were wearing short-sleeved shirts and shorts hahahahaa!

Olympics 08... a big disappointment for me
I am just not impressed.
This whole Olympics event is a big disappointment for me. I am not sure if people in Sweden feel the same. I am really looking forward to this stupid Olympics 08's closing ceremony in 3 days.
I gave up completely yesterday when Stefan Holm** missed the gold. :( Sadness. He is one of the best high jumpers in the world! We had hopes of him getting us a gold. :((( So far we have only had 3 silvers :( [CRY] I hate the Olympics! [CRY] Sweden is at the very bottom on the list of Scandinavians in Olympics [BIG CRY].
For Stefan Holm, it was probably bad luck that he finished fourth place. For Ara Abrahamian, it was another story. It was total bullshit.
Apart from the 3 silver medals, Sweden could have had one more bronze medal from the men's wrestling category which Ara Abrahamian competed in. But who wants that bronze medal anyway! Abrahamian did not want it, I would not want it either. I fully understand Abrahamian's reaction. He left the bronze medal at the presentation ceremony and walked away. I would have done the same if I were him. The bronze medal that Abrahamian left right on the center of the competition mat has now been revoked. Or I prefer to say that Abrahamian renounced his bronze medal.
I believe he would have had a very good chance at winning the GOLD medal if the controversy during the semi-final round had not happened. He had met his semi-final opponent Andrea Minguzzi many times prior to this match and had beaten him several times. During this highly controversial match, Abrahamian was seen defeating his opponent Minguzzi (hehehe cute name, like a ming vase jacuzzi? A Ming Dynasty jacuzzi? Hahaha... Ahem.) but surprisingly the judges ruled Minguzzi as the winner instead. It was really strange. So after that of course our wrestler and his coach went into a room to have a discussion with the judges, they played the video of the match and examined it together. When asked, the judges were not able to explain why they had to make the call that they did, they (the judges) got angry and left the room. Don't you smell something fishy there?! We deserve an explanation.
Ara Abrahamian, together with the National Olympic Committee of Sweden, has since filed an official complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the International Wrestling Federation (FILA - Fédération Internationale des Luttes Associées). This complaint is a request for inquiry into the judges' call and Abrahamian has expressed on Swedish National TV that he is not seeking to retain his bronze medal or to affect the rankings of the competition.

No pics in this post. Cuz I not happy with the Olympic games. :(

**Stefan, I was the little woman at Illum Copenhagen on March 10 blocking your way because I was taking a picture of a sign by the escalator LOL. I should have taken a pic with you and asked for an autograph!

Spankin good time! (This post rated PG - Parental Guidance necessary)
I'm such a hypocrite, oh, I love it!!!
Tomorrow I'm gonna bake some blueberry muffins for them for breakfast and ask them if they'd had a good night's sleep and if their legs are tired and sore from playing so much kicky ball. I would also offer them some massage, free-of-charge. I'm such a nice neighbor :-D
Grrrrrr... It's 2am now! Disrespectful kids playing kicky ball right next to my garden! Grrrrr... All I wanna do right now is to call up Sweden's most famous spanky old man and ask him to come here and spank my neighbors! SPANK THEM ALL!!!! GRRRRR!!!
Spank them on the butt, Hans Scheike!! Spank them gooooood! Do what you do best!! ROAR!!
LOL!
Since most of you (my readers) are from the United States, I'm not sure if you have heard of this (in)famous old man Hans Scheike. This dude's kinda well-known in Germany and Finland as well. Though this dude is old, like ANCIENT! He is yo' grampa, he is my grampa, he is a freakin grampa at EIGHTY-FOUR! And he loves to S.P.A.N.K! Woohoo!
Yup, he is biiiiiiiiiiiiiig on spankin! So big, it's sooooo big! I mean, it is so big it is huge! LOL! No I am not drunk. Spanky Old Man's gonna get you!! LOL!
I mean, he is so big on spankin he even has a website. Lulz, dude, lulz! Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful like my neighbors but I just find it fucking lulz! An 84-year-old grampa has a website about spanking! Lulz...!
I am sure the website is created and maintained by a couple of his women. I saw that on TV just a couple of months ago. They were on a show like a documentary.
Like the cuuuurious little bastards that my readers are, they would click [WARNING: ADULT PICS NOT FOR KIDS] to enter into Spanky Old Fart's online world only to wonder if the dude and his old gals are serious. And I'm here to tell you, oh yeah this grampa is for real.
Listen up, internets, grampa's a pro at this! Quote from Spanky's website: "Surprise spanking, intense spanking, playful spanking, dynamic spanking.Yes, spanking has many nuances and meanings."
Nuff said!
But of course, a serious website like that would never look credible without a very serious and gorgeous pic of the master Hans Scheike with a pose ala Leonardo Da Vinci or Plato or Socrates or [insert your favorite ancient times thinker here]

You would have to find out which one is the real him. Haha or maybe they all are ;-)

Gay Pride Parade 2008 Stockholm
Video:
They come in all shapes and sizes don't they! :) They are among us. They are our friends, our colleagues, our classmates, our family. I envision a future where "coming out" does not threaten friendships, severe kinships, risk job opportunities or expose anyone to physical harm or emotional distress.
Forty-two-year-old Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil (also credited as Prince Manvendrasinh Gohil by some journalists who can't spell) is a Gujarati prince who "came out" in 2006. He is probably the first and only royalty in the world who is openly gay.
Europride 08 caught up with Prince Manvendra in Stockholm :)!
Video:
Here's a 2006 article on Telegraph UK written about his disinheritance after his coming out. His mother sounded harsh. I wonder if she misses her son at all. He is afterall her only son. I cannot imagine myself turning away from my son just for being who he is. You can get disappointed with your children, you can cry, you can scream, you can beat your chest like a drum, you can douse yourself in kerosene and light a match, but why turn them away?
Her Highness should look at this pic:
These are the Proud Parents of Homosexual Children at the parade on Saturday.
{After watching this clip from The Oprah Show, I understand why dousing herself in kerosene has never crossed the Prince's mother's mind.
Since coming out, Prince Mavendra has also had a TV interview with ABC. The interview can be found on youtube :LINK:
The Prince is currently building the first old-age home for homosexuals in India.}
The issue of homosexuality is something I wish all of us could talk about openly one day in all parts of the world. It is an issue close to my heart.
Ten years ago, I did something very wrong.
It was around year 1997, I had known my friend H for about 3 to 5 years through work and we hung out a lot because we were basically just crazy people. Those were great times because the bunch of us of about 6 to 10 that hung out together for nothing special were always full of crazy jokes - always. We would laugh and scream and sing and dance to Chemical Brothers and Leanne Rhymes LOL (yes that was like Rhymes' peak), totally mixed up music but there were a bunch of us and we listened to different things and sang to different songs. We would throw food at each other also, and sometimes go out just circling the city in an older friend's car.
We were a bunch of crazy kids that started out working young. We were of different ages from 15 to 27(?). We were young but we were sensible, there was no drugs or alcohol that sort of thing. H was especially responsible and had been supporting his family for years, almost alone. His father did not bring home a whole lot of money and his mother was ill, also, he had a couple of nieces and nephews that he took care of while his sister was locked up. H was one of the most sensible and responsible people I have known. Till today I still cannot believe that when H confided in me and told me about his feelings for another guy, I told him it was wrong and he shouldn't be feeling that way. He told me almost everything, almost daily. I listened and we talked. I don't remember what else I said to him or how I said it but at the time I was seeing a bunch of church-goers too and that was what I had learned from them. They told me that that was what H needed to hear too.
The friendship with those church-goers did not last very long. I was surprised. In the end all the friendship and warmth they had given me just felt like it was all a hoax to get me to join the church. When you do not conform to their version of God's words, you're done for. I was a lost cause in their eyes. They gave up on me.
H was of course disappointed with what I said when he first came out to me but we were still friends for a while. The last I knew he had a guy friend who was a bridal gown designer moved in with him. I met him too. I moved a lot (in 3 continents) in the last nine years so we lost contact. I wish I had said something nicer before I moved away, something that is closer to how I saw him as a friend and not about what was right or wrong about his "thinking". I had never looked at him as a different person after he confided in me, I wish I had reassured him verbally.
I wish he was reading this.
But, it's ok!! I can continue to search for him on Facebook!!
And if he's still with Z the bridal gown designer, I want them to come to Sweden and get married!!
